Flynn is a fiery red fire engine who resides at the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre.
Bio[]
Flynn came to Sodor upon Belle's recommendation a few years ago to assist in the fire fighting. Although he is kind and friendly, he can be a bit of a show off and once tried to show off his bravado to the diesels, calling himself "Fiery Flynn", but ended up making a fool of himself.
Later, Flynn expressed his feelings of being uncomfortable riding on the road, and even though the road is usually quicker getting him where fire is, he is more comfortable riding on the rails. Nowadays, he is far more at ease riding on the road.
More recently, some engine inspectors arrived and questioned whether or not two fire engines were needed, and suggested that they kept Belle, as she was more efficient. Later on, Flynn proved that he was worthy of staying on the Fat Controller's Search and Rescue Team, and is now happily working with Belle at the Search and Rescue Centre.
Flynn and Belle were sent to the Crovan's Gate Mine to investigate the cause of the explosion at the nearby Man in the Hills carving.
Persona[]
Although he is kind and friendly, he can be a bit of a show off and this sometimes gets him into trouble. However, the engines are all quite fond of the cheerful red fire engine and when trouble (or fire) strikes on the line, it's fiery Flynn to the rescue!
Trivia[]
- Flynn was originally written into the first draft script of Munitions, attempting but failing miserably to fight the fire. Unfortunately, he was cut in the final draft.
