Mallard is a famous streamlined A4 who set the speed record for steam locomotives in 1938. Spencer is his brother, along with Gordon and the Flying Scotsman being his cousins.

Bio[]

When undergoing a trial run in July of 1938, Mallard achieved the top speed record for steam locomotives at a speed 126 mph, a record which still stands today.

When Thomas visited the National Railway Museum in 1990, Mallard was one of the engines present during his visit.
