Ryan is a purple tank engine who comes from the Great Northern Railway.
Bio
When Thomas was sent to help on Duck's Branch Line as punishment for causing an accident at Knapford, the Fat Controller brought Ryan as a temporary replacement on Thomas' Branch Line. Ryan now runs the Harwick Branch Line as a goods engine.
Persona
Ryan is enthusiastic and hard working. He is eager to do his best and make new friends, especially with Thomas, but he can be a little awkward and sometimes not as brave as he would prefer to be.
